Since its establishment, the Green Hydrogen Hub Viet Nam has been creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and collaboration – from basic trainings on green hydrogen and Power-to-X, to expert workshops connecting businesses, academia, and policymakers. Step by step, the Hub is laying the foundation for a vibrant hydrogen ecosystem in Viet Nam.
More than just a platform, we are bringing it to life through the establishment of a space at the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) – a dedicated hall designed to showcase green hydrogen technologies, host events and trainings, and connect stakeholders in the field.
The Hub is a Public-Private Partnership project under the H2Uppp programme implemented by GIZ and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
🎉 Now comes an important milestone: the Grand Opening of the Green Hydrogen Hub Viet Nam.
📅 23 October 2025
🕘 09:00 – 20:00 (including evening reception)
📍 Vietnamese-German University (VGU), Ho Chi Minh City
This high-level event not only marks the official launch of the Hub but also celebrates 50 years of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Germany. Organized as part of VGU’s Green Science and Innovation Conference, the opening will gather representatives from Vietnamese and German Government, development partners, private sector leaders, academia, and industry associations.
Together, they will explore the opportunities and challenges of green hydrogen for Viet Nam – through interactive exhibits, technology demonstrations, and a panel discussion on the role of green hydrogen in Viet Nam, driving decarbonization in sectors like transport, manufacturing, and energy.
In addition to attending the programme, the Hub cordially invites organizations and companies to register for our technology exhibition.
